Automatic palletizing of frozen blocks

After the freezing process, the blocks are removed from the freezers – from manual methods to fully automated systems. Then, all steps from cutting and packaging to metal detection, stacking and palletizing can be carried out fully automatically.

Precise cutting
Large blocks are transferred from the plate freezer to the block table, where they are divided into the desired sizes. They are then sent to a robotic line, where they are portioned and directed for further processing. By cutting the blocks into two or three parts, we eliminate the need for spacers, which streamlines the entire process and reduces the number of stages.

Automatic packing
After cutting, the blocks can be individually wrapped in film using a horizontal flow pack system. The blocks are transported through a machine that wraps them directly from a roll of film, ensuring a fast and repeatable packaging process.

Efficient palletizing
After the metal detection, the blocks are formed on the conveyor belt and prepared for the palletizing robot. Depending on the speed of the robot, it can place individual blocks or entire layers on the pallet. Thanks to its high hygiene standards, the palletizing robot can handle both packaged and bulk products, offering flexibility in handling different product types.

In addition, film and foam units can be used in the palletizing process to improve the stability of the final pallet. A sheet feeder automatically supplies the film or foam, and a robot applies it to the individual layers, ensuring stability, adhesion and product protection.

Readiness for transportation
Once the pallet has been fully stacked, the following steps, such as strapping, weighing and labeling, can be fully automated. Strapping stabilizes the load both longitudinally and transversely, and labeling ensures full traceability with the possibility of integration into ERP systems.
